Requesting remote IT support using TeamViewer QuickSupport.
TeamViewer QuickSupport is a small software module, that can be installed on a PC, in order to receive instant support, remotely by an IT support technician or a friend/family. The software does not require installation or administrator rights to work and can be simply started from the desktop, once downloaded.
CAUTION: Do NOT provide your TeamViewer ID and password to an unknown support party/person. If you receive a phone call or email from anyone, that claims to be, for example, Microsoft or any other popular company, and who claims there is something wrong with your PC, (for example they tell you that you have a virus on your PC), hang up the phone! Do not call that number back and do not respond to that number or email again. (do NOT click on any links in the email and do NOT provide your username and password). Go directly to the www.microsoft.com, or the company website, known to you and verify which number to call for support. If you are a company employee, call your own Help Desk or Support Technician first.
Make sure you have Antivirus/ Malware/ Endpoint software installed on your PC at all times, paid and up to date. Run an Antivirus "Full Scan" on your PC regularly.
Always check the domain name from which an email has been send to you, many times it will show you right away that the email address does not end with @microsoft.com, @amazon.com, @fedex.com, @dhl.com, but instead some obscure @gmail.com, @hotmail.com or other address like dodismith@klsdkljhd7678.com, 872638ksjdh@gmail.com, flowi.popa@hotmail.com, etc.
Call your local PC dealer or technician if in doubt. NEVER click on any links in any email, even if they look very authentic with logo and all, for instance from amazon.com, ebay.com, fedex, com, microsoft.com, adobe.com, dhl.com, etc. etc. And microsof.com is NOT the same as microsoft.com, so also check if the spelling is correct. microsoft.suport.com or supportmi.crosoft.com is NOT microsoft.com, but support.microsoft.com IS correct. This is a sub-domain of microsoft.com. Read domain names, always from right to left and the dot is important
If you are a registered EFRONIX customer,
Please download TeamviewerQS.exe to your desktop from the official teamviewer.com website. (For your safety, we do not provide a direct link, rather, we prefer you to go directly to their website.)
1. Start your favorite browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Opera Browser, etc.) and type "www.teamviewer.com" to go directly to their website.
2. In the top menu, find the button, and click on it.
3. Next, scroll down and find the "TeamViewer QuickSupport" box. Click the button and when asked where to save the file, browse to your "desktop" folder and save it there. If no windows appears, you have probably saved it automatically to your "Downloads" folder. Start you "Windows Explorer" or "My Computer" and find the "Downloads" folder in the left column.
4. Find and double click on the "TeamViewerQS.exe" icon to start the program.
5. Send us the "Your ID" 9-digit number and "Password" 4-digit, by a helpticket on this platform or directly by Whatsapp to the designated technician you spoke with.
6. Our IT staff will start a Remote Session to access your PC and try to resolve the problem. (If the problem is no solvable remotely, a technician will have to make an on-site visit.)
7. When our IT staff has resolved your problem and terminates the remote session, you can close the TeamViewer window.
(Please note that as a security measure the password changes every time you start the TeamViewerQS program. So if you close the window and request a new remote session, you have to communicate the new password to our IT staff.)
